Just as I was growing tired of bitching, this book full of awesomeness arrived to save the day! It's "The Night Shines Like Fireflies: A Portrait of Supergrass in Berlin." It contains the most killer, gritty black-and-white photos of the band (and their surroundings) while recording their latest album in Berlin. Go get it now at the photographer Greg Allum's site! He's a great photographer and these are some of the best intimate shots of a rock band you're likely to find regardless if you like Supergrass or not.

I happen to effing love Supergrass so this is a double bonus for me! And if you don't know the band, check out the video for their new single "Diamond Hoo Ha Man." I defy you to not love them!

Bummer that the album "Diamond Hoo Ha" doesn't come out until March. Argh.

HOSPITAL-ITY

Children's Hospital - Minneapolis, MN My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed today. It was strange watching him go under. Hard not to tear up a little. He was so trusting. So brave. I fear now he'll never want to go to the doctor again. Can't blame him. If I went to sleep and woke up with tubes coming out of me and my throat felt like it was just buffed with sandpaper, I'd be cautious, too.
