LITTLE RUSSIA BY THE CYCLONE

Coney Island / Brieghton Beach - Brooklyn, New York

Ended up discovering this great neighborhood in Brooklyn as we went
searching for a Srarbucks. (Yes, how sad it is.) There are all these
great authentic Russian shops and markets along the main drag
whichbsita right under the elevated tracks of the subway. These were
all old-school Russians still speaking their native tongue. So
freaking cool. Then just right up the boardwalk is what's left of
Coney Island. Amazing to imagine this park buzzing with people back in
the day. It must've been such a trip. Although it's still pretty
surreal to see these dead rides and worn down boardwalk bars and food
stands. Should have tried the sweet corn and mozzarella. Next time.
