THE BEE'S KNEES

The Golden Bee - Colorado Springs, CO

This place is an old London pub from the early 1800's salvaged and in
use in NY in the mid 1800's then salvaged again from a warehouse in
the Chelsea district in the late 1950's and opened here in 1961. Sweet
little basement pub with a real saloon (ragtime) piano being played by
a slightly grumpy guy all night. There's even a songbook for the piano.

We also apparently had a celeb sighting. Bobby Brown famous from the
Dawg Bounty Hunting show was there. He was wasted and dowsed in cheap
cologne.
