COLD COMFORT


Wood Lake Nature Center - Richfield, MN

Went to this place with the kids to make beeswax candles. How crafty
of me. But it turned out to be alright. . There was deer standing ten
feet from the window feeding. There was snow falling and a frozen lake
in the background. It was like a cheesy oil painting except real and
cool.

A far cry from the down and dirty pho places around town. And I do mean dirty. Although, I think those places have better pho. So I'll still go to those places. Not tossing out my Wet Wipes just yet.

HOSPITAL-ITY

Children's Hospital - Minneapolis, MN My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed today. It was strange watching him go under. Hard not to tear up a little. He was so trusting. So brave. I fear now he'll never want to go to the doctor again. Can't blame him. If I went to sleep and woke up with tubes coming out of me and my throat felt like it was just buffed with sandpaper, I'd be cautious, too.
